Our staff are spirited locals, passionate about sledding, with in depth knowledge of local terrain and current conditions. All guides have professional level certification in avalanche hazard evaluation, risk management, weather analysis, and emergency first aid and rescue techniques.

Avalanche Skills Training Level 1

This two day course teaches the fundamentals of travelling in avalanche terrain. Understand the basics of avalanche formation and release, recognize avalanche terrain, know the steps required to plan and carry out a trip, use appropriate travel techniques, and carry out a companion rescue.

Companion Rescue Skills

An essential first step for every mountain sledder or a great refresher for those looking to brush up on your skills. In this one day field course, you will learn how to prioritize actions if caught in an avalanche, understand how to use avalanche rescue equipment, practice organized group search and rescue skills.

Mountain Sledding 101

New for 2017 -  This Intensive three day mountain-sledding mentorship program is designed for students seeking hands on experience to improve confidence in the backcountry. Course includes AST1, riding clinics, how to handle a variety of backcountry emergencies, route finding and travel skills, field repairs, and more.
