Elk Valley Snow Shepherds clinics offer personalized instruction from a skilled, professional coaching staff. We utilize systematic lesson plans to enhance every level of rider in a supportive, inspiring environment. Our winter series will connect participants with the right level of challenge while providing resources to refine your current skill set and take your riding farther this season.
Meet Your Coaches
Stephanie Schwartz: One of the most recognized names in the women’s snowmobile scene! With over a decade of experience managing athletes, facilitating product design, and mentoring riders across the globe, Stephanie has a true talent for inspiring confidence on the snow.
Brock Hoyer:X Games 2017 Snow Bike Cross gold medal winner and the Canadian Snow Bike MX Champion. He has dirt bike racing chops honed on the Canadian Arenacross and Supercross scene. He’s been a snow bike pioneer, mentor for youth, and one of the best all around guys you will ever meet. Take a trip to 'Hoyer-ville' this season... you wont be the same rider when you return!
novice & intermediate snowmobile clinics

Do you ride occasionally in the backcountry or deep snow but are unable to sidehill confidently and struggle to countersteer? Wonder why you are stuck all the time? Apprehensive to try new things? Perhaps you feel limited due to a ‘weak-side’ or lack ‘flow’ in your riding. Your coaches help 'Break It Down' with systematic approaches to improve confidence and riding fundamentals through fun drills.
Specific Skills: Intro to concept of ‘constant motion’, using throttle/break appropriately for control, getting your sled ‘on edge’, smooth motion and timing, using sled mechanics to reduce fatigue, avalanche safety primer, personalized review of sled set up to enhance your riding.

ADVANCED snowmobile clinic
2023/2024 Dates Coming Soon. FERNIE, BC
You are a confident rider and enjoy steep, technical terrain but struggle to incorporate dynamic movement to maximize performance. Perhaps you have a few lingering ‘weak spots’ in your riding or feel you lack ‘flow’? In this high-energy clinic, our coaches will help redefine your limits and ‘Dial It In’ with professional-level tips and tricks you can incorporate into your skills portfolio.
Specific Skills: navigating challenging technical terrain and conditions using proper techniques and planning, using skills to get out of tricky situations, jumps/drops, using track speed and momentum to master control, managing failing hill climbs, maximizing your sled set up to improve performance, avalanche rescue review.
Note: This year we are offering the novice/intermediate clinic and the intermediate/advanced clinic concurrently to accommodate couples or groups with mixed abilities who want to participate in a weekend clinic together.
